Every.org is a nonprofit platform built to help other nonprofits raise more funding and grow their impact. Since launching, Every.org’s community of donors has made 249,012 donations supporting 7,043 nonprofits - totaling over $123 million.
With a small and agile team, Every.org relies on Statsig to optimize the donor journey and drive greater community impact. Using Statsig, the team has accelerated their experimentation velocity and shipped changes that have directly increased both signups and donations.
Before Statsig, Every.org relied on Mixpanel and an in-house feature flagging system, which limited access and slowed experimentation. Only a few team members could use the tools, whereas with Statsig, the majority of the team now has access to run experiments, dramatically increasing velocity and visibility.
Features like cloning completed experiments have allowed the team to stay in a constant state of iteration, copying successful tests and building on them to continually improve the donor experience.
Experimentation isn’t a one-off process for Every.org - the team uses Statsig throughout the product development lifecycle.
They start by using product analytics to identify friction points and opportunities, like understanding where donors drop off or how many are opting into monthly giving. Once they’ve formed a hypothesis, they use feature flags and experimentation to test new ideas and control rollouts. After the experiment concludes, they return to product analytics to measure downstream impact and uncover new areas to explore.
This loop enables Every.org to move fast, reduce risk, and continuously improve the donor experience in meaningful and measurable ways.
Two of the most impactful experiments that Every.org has launched have been on their landing page - where they saw an 81% increase in sign ups and a 51% increase in donation events.
The first experiment involved simplifying their landing page, which had gradually become cluttered over time. By testing a streamlined design focused on clarity and ease of use, the team achieved an 81% increase in signups - a clear indication that removing excess features and reducing friction helped more people start their giving journey.
The second experiment compared the original tab layout with a new button layout. The team hypothesized that the streamlined button layout (one for nonprofits and one for donors) would lead to more signups than the original tabbed design. The result? No statistically significant lift in signup, but a 51% increase in donation events after signup. It wasn’t the outcome they predicted, but it was a powerful and unexpected win, driving more giving and directly supporting the nonprofits they serve.
